We all have our weaknesses, that thing we just can’t resist. For some it’s the glass of wine or tequila at night, maybe it’s a piece of chocolate, or stopping by Tasti Delite on your way home for work. It’s important not to let these treats become part of your daily routine. A treat by definition is an event or item that is out of the ordinary and gives great pleasure. If you start to have it every day is becomes ordinary, and we lose the pleasure that we receive from it. I know it can be hard to give these things up, and I don’t want you to, these small pleasures are important, but it’s imperative that you control them and don’t let them control you. Especially when they impact your health like the alcohol and chocolate can when had in excess. So think about what else you can do that will make you feel good. Find a healthy replacement that you can still derive pleasure from. I like to have a massage, I feel like I’m still treating myself, and it’s something that will make me feel better in the morning instead of regretting it.
