I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve had clients come to me and say ‘I’m really trying! I’m eating right, I came to my session, did extra cardio but I’m still not losing weight!’ The truth is that the likeliness that they are eating perfectly is not very high, because perfect is not a realistic expectation. If you were truly eating properly and doing your work outs and still not achieving your goals then there is probably something else that is wrong. Today I had a client send me her food diary for the day. She had eaten only 800 calories, but had somehow managed to have 73 grams of fat! And she wondered why she wasn’t losing weight. Really she should have been having closer to 1400 calories with only 30 grams of fat. It’s so important that you make the right food choices and don’t get less calories than your body needs. Don’t think you can eat less but of the wrong things, and still get results.
And make sure you’re getting the cardio into your exercise. Most people don’t do the amount of cardio they need to be doing. Did you get over 10,000 steps today and see your trainer? You have to make the effort. Getting results takes changes and it takes work. It may not be what you want to hear, but it’s the truth.
